Delivery and Installation

Our quotes are based upon standard lead-in periods of 4-5 weeks. This is from receipt of all drawings, dimensions on structural drawings or survey sizes, agreement of interface details and colours etc. This lead-in period is approximate and subject to current workloads at the time the order is placed. Confirmation of delivery/fixing date will be agreed at a suitable time should you require fitting over the school holidays.

Bramcote Hills School

With the knowledge and expertise within Basfords we can offer more than just windows and conservatories. Our commercial division for schools is expanding and we are taking on more and more diverse projects. This featured project is for a brand new sports hall and changing rooms for Bramcote Hills School in Nottingham.

Together with the guidance from Bramcote Hills School the building was built from scratch by our team of architects & builders. It was completed on time to a high standard and most importantly within budget.

Sometimes the fascias at a school can be left to rot and crack, leaving the school not looking at its best. Plus problems with gutters and drainpipes can lead to expensive repairs, just ask any site manger.

Basfords have a dedicated teams of fitters employed full time who specialize in replacing tired old soffits and fascias. On this project which was on time on budget there were 550 meters  around the whole school with new gutters and drainpipes.

Old Basford Primary and Nursery School, Nottingham

It's nice to get invited back to a school where we have done so much work in the past. In fact we have now completed the whole of the juniors which makes a great impression on the fabric of the building.

The insulated bottom panels are made in the RAL colour of the school.  We are pleased with the two glass extensions in the courtyard which have been well used one has made a great library.

The school was given an OUTSTANDING on the last Ofsted report. It was a pleasure to do this work and see the school go from strength to strength.

Prospect Hill Junior School, Nottinghamshire

Project Type: A-Rated Replacement Windows with £10,000 grant
Project Cost: £50,000

Basfords helped local school, Prospect Hill Junior School with an energy grant worth £10,000. Craig Deaton Managing Director says it's great that this school will benefit thanks to our new A rated windows and double insulated panels helping to keep the fuel bills down. In fact the new windows are 3 times as efficient as what 90% of our competitor's use. Our new anti glare windows appear dark from outside but clear from inside best of all the interactive white boards work great. All the teachers have commented how much warmer the class rooms are. The project was 28 window units on the outside of the school and 14 units in the quad angle. It was completed on time in fact it took two weekends on budget.

The school also received some footballs from our charity (Basfords sports in the community) and will be receiving support from us in the future.

Haydn Road Primary School

Project Type: Energy Efficient Replacement Windows, Cladding, Soffits & Fascias

Another example of the great work we can do for schools in need of new windows. These Georgian bar styled windows for Hadyn Road Primary School were installed over the school holidays to avoid any disruption. All windows we supply are A Rated to ensure maximum thermal efficiency.

Berridge Junior School

Project Type: Energy Efficient Window Replacement

This old Victorian building was in need of new windows. Basfords were called in to replace most of the windows in the School. All the windows supplied and fitted were Sash Windows and energy efficient. The Schools was delighted at the speed and quality of work.

We feel the building retains character with our new windows.

Highbank School

Project Type: Energy Efficient Replacement Windows, Doors, Cladding, Soffits & Fascias
Project Cost:  £100,000

Nottinghamshire High Bank School had Basfords in 2004 for a replacement window and fascias programme for a value of £45000.00. Early this year (2011) we were again asked to tender for further works which we were successful. After fitting another £25000.00 of A RATED windows on budget and on time the school decided to have the rest of the works carried out to finish off the whole school. A further £30000 project of windows doors and cladding was awarded to us, which has now been completed.

Our commitment to the smooth running of this site is testament to our company being invited back 3 times. We have a dedicated department for our commercial work which insures and guarantees on time and on budget and no disruption for the schools. We have a huge competitive advantage which is we employ our own fitters on the books, which is why we can grantee results like this project.

We did such a good job at this school that the head teacher has recommended to several other schools. We can't say much more than that for good press.

Normanton-on-Soar Primary School

The rear of this school needed new windows, soffits & fascias and cladding. After our quote was accepted our team of fitters completed the work over weekends to ensure minimum disruption. This included A Rated windows as standard.

Manning School

Project Type:  Energy Efficient Replacement Windows, Doors, Classroom, Refurbish Main Hall, Cladding, Soffits & Fascias
Project Cost:  £110,000

We completed work on the front of Manning School and to classrooms. A large project spread over several weekends and during the Easter holidays. Anti Glare glass was used on the front.

The entrance looks more appealing than before.

Northgate Primary School

Project Type:  Energy Efficient Replacement Windows
Project Cost:  £18,000

Basfords knowledge and expertise really came into play with this project. The school needed new windows and doors for their classrooms but had a limited budget to work with. We surveyed the project and came up with a solution that came within budget. Northgate School were extremely pleased with the result. They will not need new windows and doors for another 20 years at least.

The double entry doors are the most secure doors on the market so the school can be assured their assets are protected inside.

Ellis Guilford School

Project Type:  Energy Efficient Replacement Windows, Doors, Cladding, Soffits & Fascias
Project Cost:  £90,000

Ellis Guildford is superb modern development. A cutting edge sports hall and facilities, they really have a great setup for the pupils. Basfords were called in to complete various works on the school, mainly energy efficient windows and cladding. This was by no means a small project but we completed the job on schedule and in budget. The head teacher continues to use us for jobs that are needed at the school and also recommended to serval other schools.
